Default Changing the Glovebox Bulbs

Ok before I do anything stupid I or waste a whole lot of time trying to figure this out on my own... what is the trick behind changing the bulbs? Do I have to unscrew the entire glove box or pull it in a somewhat tricky unpredictable way?

Our glove box has a light bulb? I don't remember the last time I opened mine, maybe to put the dealers papers in when I bought it 15 months ago.
See, you can learn something new everyday here.

Yes, but it only lights when the key is in the "on" or "accessory" positions. That's true in my "other" (real) Mercedes, too.

After about 2 and a half hours of work I was able to change the bulb to green... it was a 2 man job and required 3 different screw drivers, a vacuum cleaner (lol), copper wire, nail clippers, flashlight, and most of all bullet proof patience let me tell you i wish we got this all on camera it could of became a quiet popular masochistic film...

Maybe there was an easier way to do this than the one we used, but we were able to do it don't ask how you do not want to go through this...

2.5 hours? Are you serious? I just changed it to a blue LED bulb in under 3 minutes. You pull the glove box light assembly from the right side down and forward and it just pops out. You can see the connecting cable on the left. After you have the whole light assembly out, just replace the bulb and pop back in.

That's it. If I could do it in three minutes (and I did), then so can you. Trust me on that one...

Don't worry about it. We've all been there and done that. It took me over three hours to install the VMaxx lower grilles. The directions were in German and were translated for me by two native German speakers, but even that made no difference. It still took more than three hours and dozens of attempts to finally get both of them in correctly with the piece of s**t little brackets that refused to clip on to the bumper assembly. I'm really jealous of members with good shops and good tools and good knowledge and experience with these things. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I did manage to get the bulbs changed, but I'm also real jealous of your super CF molded engine cover ...

If you think that's bad, just wait until you change out the P.O.S. cup holder!
