Default Is this a good deal? '05 Limited Coupe

New guy here, looking for a Xfire.

I'm in talks with this dealer to buy an '05 Limited Coupe automatic for $21,980 with 7k miles. He won't budge on the price. The only thing that bothers me is I've been seeing people get new 06's for under 20k. I'm just having a hard time finding a black '06 auto coupe under 20k.

I think most of the 06's under 20k are base models. Doesn't sound like a bad deal for a limited to me.

If it's in your budget, I'd really recommend getting an SRT-6. You can find them for around ~25k, which is downright a steal.

I paid around 22k for my Aero Blue '05 Limited Coupe around a year ago from the Chrysler Employee lot, and it had around 16k miles.

Seems a little high, but if you can afford it, and you will be happy with it, go for it!

Personally, I'd wait just a little bit (although how hard it is to wait, I know) and get an SRT-6 for one heck of a price.

If you don't mind the year, you can get a '04, which has all the features as the '05 limited for less. You can get under 5k for under 20k.

Actually, you might find an '04 Coupe for about 17K.

How many miles on your '04? I got mine for $19,800 with 14k miles, not a scratch on the car.

I bought my '04 coupe 3 weeks ago, with 5,472 miles on it, for $17,900, spotless in and out and still under factory 3/36.

You know what REALLY pisses me off... I still owe $43,000 CAD on my Limited '04 and I have had it for 2 years already! Talk about depreciation!

Wow so it must be the year that depreciates the price.

Sounds fair to me.

I paid $19,990 for an '04 coupe. It has 25k miles. The reason I didn't look for a better deal was 1. It has brand new tires 2. The color I wanted (silver) 3. Dealer within driving distance of my house (ebay is great, but shipping is a pain in the nuts - plus they're within striking distance if they were to screw me - hard to sue a dealer 3,000 miles away).

I made them cough up a fair trade-in amount (they tried to lowball me by $1k).

I really love this car - it makes me feel like a friggin' king. I'm just so pissed my shift **** came off. Who has time to deal with this crap?

Doesn't it? (make you feel like a king).

I had a brand new '06 silver Honda CBR 600RR a few months ago before I sold it (wasn't for me) and I used to get a lot of looks on that thing. Now with the crossfire I get even more looks. Just sucks that I'm young and everyone probably thinks it was a gift from daddy. Credit my friends, credit is everything!

that's why you gotta hang a pair of panties on the rear view mirror. yea i'm only 19 and have a credit score of 809 before i got my loan, now its probably a little higher. ended up getting 5.74% APR.

wow... i'm in the low 800's as well... and its nearly unheard of for a beacon score...

usually it takes many many years to gain that type of credit rating... at the age of 19... you're the man... i'm shocked to hear this a such a young age... congrats!

Yeah it is, i think i'm between 700 and 800 now. I bought a town house a couple years ago and that supposedly drops your score for a little bit.

How many other young folk are on here? I think there's another 22 yo like me, and then the 19 yo?

yea i originally was at 6.4%, but refinanced thru my credit union and got to 5.99%, then go a .25 off for direct withdrawal putting me at 5.74%. Yea my dad helped me on my credit alot. I been on his $50,000 limit credit card since i was 18, and been paying for my old car since I was 17. I think i got like mid 6% on my first car. It was funny too, the guy at the dealer went to check my score, and he went over and was talking to the other salesmen, then they started to laugh. I asked him "is it that bad" and he said well... pausing. its excellent 809. lol.
