Default Lock Beep

Does the 2004 model have an option to beep when you lock the doors with the fab? I was expecting sound and all I saw was the flashing lights.

If the old SLK320 can do it, so can we. I just never heard an old slk beep myself, but I've never paid attention to those cars myself. Maybe someone else could confirm.

Why would anyone want them to chirp? It's just one more annoying noise to hear all these chirps chirping and horns tooting. There's enough noise in this world without trying to make more. jmo

Just to know the doors are locked without having to turn around and check the lights blinking.

I just listen for the sound of the door locks locking as I start to walk away.
