Speed Urge
Anyone else have an issue with chronic speeding? I don't know what it is, but with all my cars I've always given it full throttle from a stop. I'd really rather not do that on this car since it is pretty new and I will have it for a long time. Is there any serious damage that can happen from opening it up like this, after the engine is warmed up?
Hahaha, Yeah me too, it's almost becoming a problem for me. Just last month a cop busted me for speeding, the officer was stuck in traffic ahead of me and I managed to find a couple slots to slide through and blow through the intersection. Well I blew right past the cop with my muffler growling. He was to happy about that. Thankfully he didn't have me on radar but he marked me down for over 50 mph, so it looks like I'll be talking with the Judge to see what we can do about this little problem I have.
I do have a problem with it, It's a 30 minute drive to work for me on I-40 and then I hop onto a Parkway that provides very little hiding for police, I'll regularly get it up to 120 mph going to work in the morning, especially on this one particular stretch. The other day I was leaving work, going back down the parkway in a little traffic, I had a Corvette following me through the traffic and as soon as we hit a clearing he went past me, only to realize the last car we passed in the bunch of slow-moving-cars was a state trooper (explains the slow moving cars). He pegged the Vette, I coasted (ever realize how long it takes to coast back down to a decent speed?) back down to around 90 mph and went past them.
Yea the car definitely has a problem that some how forces you to speed. Sad to say it but I am not sure there has been very many times I have taken the car out that I haven't busted a 100.
