Dumb FSS Question
When I purchased my 2004 coupe with 6,300 miles on the odometer about three months ago, I was told that the oil had been changed two weeks prior. I believe them because the oil on the dip stick is as clear as oil fresh from the bottle.
After putting about 300 miles on the car (the weather conditions are still marginal - about 5" of snow due today), when I get in the FSS display shows the clock face and negative 500.
Just how do I interpret this? (The manual seems to indicate this means I'm 500 days overdue for an oil change, but this is not likely correct.)
What am I missing?

Yup, your 500 days overdue. if the oil is clear, then your good, they must not of changed it. But the day thing is just kinda a reminder. Manufacturer recommends you change your oil at 7,000. I bought mine with 5,685 miles, and was 360 days over due.
