Hi. I am looking in to buying a new Crossfire LTD. I would really love to hear a sound clip of the car alarm. Does anyone have one? Or, would anyone be up for making one? Thank you SO much!

I hope you get the Crossfire. You will love it! Don't worry about anyone stealing it. It just won't happen. If you lock the car, and they try to get in...they will leave in a hurry with bleeding ears. Trust me when I say it's not one of those alarms that everyone ignores. It's a loud piercing siren. I set mine off by accident one time and just about stroked out. I had to change my underwear as soon as I got the alarm shut off. No sh^&#! LOL. My son just died laughing watching me try to find the key with stuff running, well we don't need to go there...

 

Anyone done this yet? lol. Is it the alarm where the horn just blows, like most American cars? Or, is it one of those that starts as a siren, and then goes on into all different kinds of "sound patterns"? (like on movies).

 

Mine went off once when i was drying the car off. I reached in and popped the hood and it blasted me with shrieking noise from the depths of hell. Definitely messes with your equilibrium.

 

The alarm is a loud siren and not a chirp or horn. It sounds like an ambulance coming. You should be able to activate it with your remote by pressing and holding the panic button.

I have a 2004 Crossfire coupe.

 

A very loud piercing shrill...imagine finger nails on a chalk board to the 1,000,000 power x 10 through headphones...it cannot be ignored.

 

Mine went off one day in a parking garage. The only way i could describe it would be the sound of the BANSHEES FROM HELL! Loud, piercing scream.

Very unique and unsettling.

 

Try setting it off in a 2 car garage with the doors shut! I think my ears are still bleeding a little!
Mental note to self...do not EVER...EVER...do that again!!

 

Soon after I got my XF, My alarm went off after my wife and I got back from a late night out. Yes it is loud and does attract attention. Ask my next door neighbor who just fell asleep. Actually it is the same sound as my Mercedes Benz E500 alarm. Another sign off shared items from MB.

 

Very good description. It would not surprise me if they used this alarm sound in the Van Helsing movie for the vampire screeching.

Definitely an alarm that will get attention, not just ignored.

In my case, I was finalizing sale paperwork at dealer, my car was in the showroom, somebody open xfire door and alarm went off, I thought if was the dealer's fire alarm.
