Thanks for the kind words guys, those shots were from earlier this year at Cal Speedway with a few of the other forum members. I don't know who the photographer was, but another racer found them online and sent them to me.

I'll post more photos from last weekend at Willow Springs when I get them.

Senna: As far as the wing, it is hard to tell the exact effect it has on the car because I also recently widened the front and rear track and lowered the car a bit. This weekend was a very good learning curve because WSIR is the only raceway that I have hard numbers from last year that I can compare.

Last May we ran WSIR, this was before the addition of the wing, the roll cage, the gutting, etc. My best time during that event was 1:59:022 which was 21 seconds slower than the winning car (#75, Pontiac Firebird). The top speed I was able to hit on the front straightaway was somewhere in the range of 122 mph before having to slow for turn 1.

This year my best time was 1:45:429 which was 7.5 seconds slower than the winning car, which was again (#75 Pontiac Firebird). The top speed on the straightaway dropped to about 118, which may have been caused by pretty heavy head winds, or the drag being produced by the wing.

Obviously I shaved some serious time off from last year (14 seconds) so I can only believe that my mods have helped somewhat. But, I am still running much slower than the winning car. Bare in mind, I was only .028 seconds slower than the guy who finished directly ahead of me (#36 Porsche 914/6).

I definitely need to do some more work to make this car faster, so I think I'm going to just work on it, then go back to WSIR, test it again and repeat the process until I can shave 7 more seconds from my times.
