Default Looking to buy a crossfire

Hi,

I am seriously considering a crossfire.
Any help on the following would be appreciated.

What is a fair price for a used crossfire in socal/LA area? I am not seeing too many for sale. The new ones (05) seem to be listing pretty high. A lot of the used ones seem to have a lot of miles on them. What is the service like? What is the upkeep? I have a saab and have problems for years.
Any other things I should know? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

A "new" '05 SRT6 coupe (about 0 miles) can be had for about 25-27k. '05 non SRT for about 18-22k. '04 starts at around 18k ('04 only came in one model and has all the goodies). '06 starts at 18.5 k, but that is the base. Since '06 is new it is more expensive.

I would suggest looking at ebay, car.com and autotrader. You should be able to find something near you. Also, be open to the idea of getting one shipped in if you find the right price. Go for a SRT6 if you can afford it. Its rare and worth it.

As for the upkeep oil change costs about $100 - $120 bucks, but you have to get it done roughly every 7k miles. You may also want to check if the dealership has certified crossfire techs before giving it for a service. Its a great car. You will enjoy it.

If you have put up with Saab maintenance and issues, you will love the XF.

I'm looking for a XF too, but the deals on the '06 models are really enticing. My only problem is that I can't seem to find a deal locally (Northern California). I'm checking with a dealer 2 hours away, but the best prices seem to coming from well across the country.

I was just quoted $18,800 for a new, 2006 black base XF. Shipping is $1,500 door-to-door. I can't help but think I can get a better deal than that. Is there something better out there?

I think you won't do much better than that for an '06 base, but you can get a better seal on the shipping.

I might be able to get a better deal on shipping. There is another option: my employer has ordered a shutdown week for the first week in July. I may fly out to wherever and drive the car back - it'd cost me roughly the same amount, and I'd really enjoy that week.
