dash kits
In one word - DON'T.
I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a wood grain stick on kit for a XF and it just didn't work.... on 2 levels.
1) The quality was a shocker... as the stickers only cover the flat area, all the stickers have the silver edge of the original dash showing.
2) The XF just doesn't look at its best with a 'wood' dash... It is designed as a sports car, with art deco influences... The brushed silver looks by far and a way better.
If you really MUST fit something - I believe that you can get shaped carbon kits which offer an alternative.
Just my 2p !

joseph m herroscheck,
I don't know where you are located but I can arrange for the synthetic carbon fiber coating. It is far superior to the stick on kits and has a beautiful finish. Only downside is that you will have to remove the components and ship them to be finished. You could try to find someone local or PM me for any other details.
Interior
door handle/speaker surround (2 pieces) $60
Center console stack (includes the following silver pieces-not including switches or dials)
center a/c vent
a/c control
ashtray
switches
airbag light cover
lighter panel
shifter ring
shifter base
shift indicator
center console
drink holder door
storage console lid - total $319

I installed a Sherwood dash kit in Rosewood. Look at the pictures under arado in galleries...I am happy with it. Very well made and permanent.

Dash trip covers are very subjective... one mans poison and all that...
If you like it - fit it... for me, it just isn't in keeping with the XF.
The Carbon looks good, especially in black or 'natural'.

Does anyone know the actual Mercedes color code or part number for the paint used for the interior silver that was used on the dash and other components on the '04? I just bought a spray-can of official black exterior coupe color from my local dealer and the part number for that is 5127571-AA PAINT TOU 1081008. I was just inquiring if anybody knew the part code or color code for the console in silver???
I bought a 2004 used and it had a wood kit installed, my car is #903. was bought in Millwood CT. I purchased in Charlotte, NC. It looks awesome. I believe it was made by a German company they have a web site. Company name eludes me. They do make kits for other european cars. Mine has wood every place (glove box door, console, door pulls, etc.) it is an excellent install and the silver outline adds a reveal. That being said does anyone think with such a low production # could it have been a DCX production mod?
