Default Does anyone else have this in their crossfire?

in the center of my dash, there's a small black box with a wire attached (hidden down the front of my dash - toward the windshield). what is this? i don't know if it's a sensor or if the guy before me tried to install satellite radio.

looking down on it, it's about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" . the bottom is perfectly rectangular, but it rounds toward the top. it sits about 3/4" high, just to the side of the "spine" on the dash.

Sounds like a satellite radio antenna that a previous owner mounted.

so is it compatible with the stock infinity radio? by this i mean: can you order and subscription of xm or sirius and have it come directly through the stock radio? the infinity already picks up song names, etc. from local stations.

It definitely sounds like just my sirius antenna.

And no, the factory radio is not sirius compatible. You'd need a new head unit.

i wonder why the guy that had the car before me had it. it doesn't look as though the stock setup was messed with, but maybe it was.
