It finally happened to me
Yesterday morning I get to my office and take my travel coffee cup out of the cupholder. I put the cupholder back down, only it won't stay down. Try, try as I may, it just won't go back down.
I have it scheduled to go into a dealer on Wednesday morning. Those of you who have already been through this, how hard was it to have it fixed? Estimates on time? Does the warrenty cover it? I'm curious to know, and any help would be most appreciated.

Easy fix. There is a TSB on it and you can either have the cup holder replaced or have the storage cup installed.
Personally, I got the storage cup and bought the "Wedgie" cup holder for less than $5 at Wal-Mart. Best of both worlds!!!

I have a black hand towel that I folded up between it and the console. You can just see the top of the towel above the holder...and it protects the console as well. In case of major spill, you also have a towel to mop it up with.
I also have the "wedgie" cupholder, I just added some of the soft part of the velcro tape and wrapped the area that touches the seat.
