Default '05 6-speed: Just turned 100 miles!!

This is a fun car to drive. Dealer will be replacing the shift linkage however. Parts are on order. 2nd is a real bear to engage, and 4th can easily be shifted past engagement until you get a grinding noise and vibration in the stick. That ain't right. But the dealer will fix it. 3/36 you know...

And, I'm beginning to see what people mean when they speak of the throttle lag. I need to drive it more to decide if it's a low-end torque issue, or a throttle one.

Regardless, it's a great car and the coupe fits my portly frame quite well. What a bargain. Looking forward to making it my daily driver!

The engine makes plenty of torque. You're probably experiencing the dreaded drive-by-wire adaptive throttle algorithm pain in the posterior. Try doing the throttle reset procedure listed below and see if it helps.

1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.

2. Turn the key to the on (not start) position.

3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.

4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back
to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas
pedal.

5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment.

6. Drive the car as you always do.
