Default Got my sweet Crossfire!

Hey guys!!!

Picked up my '05 crossfire a few weeks ago from a car lot in my town.

'05, automatic, 44k miles

Traded in my scion tc for this baby...can't wait for some mods but i need some help!!! Want to go all out on this car, so i wanted some opinions. I like how the car looks now but i want to make it tough like with a body kit and wheels. I was putting a widebody kit on the tc before i traded it in but it kept cracking really bad so i wanted a kit that will last cause i like to drive my car hard sometimes.

Here's a pic of the scion.

I also had some neons underneath and inside and want to put some in the crossfire to but where do you buy parts for this car??? I looked in autozone and pepboys but there was nothing made for my car. Oh i did buy some racing floormats and a carbon fiber shift **** while i was there though. =)

I also heard that these cars can keep up with m3's and i believe it!!! Its so fast!!! im going to the local car meets tonight so i'll check back later and let everyone know who i kill. I already pulled on my friends volvo yesterday in 2nd and 3rd gear so i can't wait!!!

The Crossfire looks great without a body kit...keep it stock for that classy look!!! BTW, love the color on your XFire!

The SRT6 models will keep up with or win (depending on model/driver, etc.) against an M3 (not sure about the '08 model though).
It would probably have to be an older model M3 for a non SRT Crossfire to punish it.

Good luck with you ride.

The Crossfire is unique in that it comes right from the factor with a body kit and rims already installed. Haven't you SEEN the size of the rear wheel tubs!? And 19" rims!? What factory car has that? Not many.

Seriously though, I'm not aware of anyone who makes body kits for a Crossfire. If you find one, I'm sure there are a couple people here would like to see what it looks like (even if only for giggles).

Welcome to the family!

I would like to make one quick request based on the pic of your Scion and your very much sexier Crossfire. Please... please remember... for the love of all that is sacred... that primer is NOT a color. The first time I see a primer grey Crossfire driving down the road... I will... umm... curl up in a ball by a hill and hope to be pushed off a cliff. Or something like that. Yeah. It has the comfortable ring of familiarity to it, no?

Congrats & Welcome to the Forum!!!

Everyone has their own ideas on how their cars should look. Just keep in mind this is a classy GT type car not a "tuner", more power to you whatever you do to it. You will come to find that there are few aftermarket parts for our cars and what's out there is classy and expensive. Just be careful who you try to punish, our cars are quick and nimble rather than fast.

Sweet SSB, congrats and welcome o the forum. Check out my gallery. In album Crossfire you'll find what little stuff is available. Also check ichon ride, I think its probably what you're looking for.

Here is a site that has a mild body kit: http://www.autotintdesign.com/

I beg you not to bastardize that beautiful Xfire. No amount of additional plastic junk will make it look better. Same goes for stickers, lights, decorations of any sort. If you're determined to commit a crime though, nobody can stop you.

Congratulations! You have a beautiful car! For the love of all that is good and pure in this world, please don't rice it up! It's been said a few times already but the Crossfire doesn't need to be "tuned" - especially with a bunch of cheap plastic stick-on crap and neon lights. Pep Boys & Autozone don't sell anything you need to put on this car save for engine oil.

Definite no-no's:

Body kits
Lambo doors
Flames/body art
Under body lights
Stickers of any kind
Fart cannon exhaust

Save your money & upgrade the stereo. Go get an ECU tune from SI. Get some new tires & rims. Get an SRT-6 front fascia. Add HID lamps (REAL ones, not the blue halogens). You got yourself a Mercedes-Benz, dude! Treat it like one!

BTW, Welcome to the forum!
