Default Question about light ****

When you pull the light **** once the fog lights come on, but what happens when you pull it the second time? I was told a fog light on the back right brake light comes on, this is for the requirement for fog lights in england.

But I pull mine and nothing happens, anyone else?

The second detent is for the rear fog light, which only exists on the euro-spec cars. Use the search button and you will find many discussions on the subject.

I had a A4 that my son installed a light bulb in the back for the fog light to work in the rear. Maybe there is a empty light plug that only needs a light bulb installed.

Its just an example of corporate money savings, its cheaper to use an existing part than re-tool and new one. Its annoying, but it is what it is. The thing that gets me is EVERY Audi, Volvo, MB, Saab has the rear fog light in their US spec cars too. Why not us? We have the selectable left and right parking lights...

nope, one of the reverse lights is sacrificed to become the rear fog lamp on the XF. i have a pic of mine if you're interested - i ordered a german-spec drivers side taillight with the rear fog light.

That's interesting...I always wondered what the extra detent on the switch was for!

Now I know.
