Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.
It doesn't apply to us, unless the 2007's show up on lots, but there is now a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty on all Chrysler products for MY 2007 and 2008.

Damn, Chrysler just OWNED the entire Automotive Industry with that one...
Of course you will probably have to keep every gas receipt and old Oil filter on file as proof of maintenance to get them cover jack crap...

Does it really matter? don't think many of us will own crossfires in another 4 years. And good luck getting the warrantee work done. I have a bumper to bumper warrantee and the dealer is giving me hell on replacing the cracking headlamps. I think I'm over Chrysler. Next!
I would be worried if I owned stock in Chrysler, I have no idea what's going on with the company. heard on the radio that Cerberus has put on hold their payment for the 80% of Chrysler to Daimler benz. makes you wonder what is happening?
The Chrysler line up is getting cheaper on the dealer lots, new 300's are selling for $17,000 and the PT cruizers are leasing at $99 a month. These cars are getting cheaper than new Hyundai models.

Just a FYI, I have read the terms of the Lifetime warranty and it might be worth noting that this DOES apply to new 2006 crossfires that dealers seem to be able to get right now. I think if I can get a good deal on a new 2006 this might be enough to get me in the car as I tend to keep cars a long time. My current VW Jetta is going on 10 years and a lifetime powertrain warranty is some peace of mind...

I love my new 2006 Roadster but,
In case anyone is feeling left out with this new “Lifetime Warranty” just remember who it is coming from. Chrysler operates it warranty program using in house “Factory Reps” to make Omnipotent rulings on any vehicle defect. Chrysler’s stated policy is “There is no appeal process to a Factory Reps decision.” Duh, Chrysler is paying the guy to turn down claims.
A lifetime Warranty from Chrysler should be printed on a roll of soft non abrasive 4.5 inch wide paper. That way the customer could get some use out of it and flush it.
