I'm not sure what you mean by "close" your account. You can set it so you don't get any emails in your user control panel. Other than that if we delete your account, any thread you contributed in will cease to make sense since your posts are deleted.

I'm not worried about the Govmint watching my every move, they know more about me than I know myself.
