Default Crossfire deals drying up ?

I have been watching the local new/used Crossfire market the past few months. The supply of bargin priced '06s is about dried up. A couple of the local dealers now have '07 models in stock and do not see the heavy discounts advertised for these cars. There is still one super low miles '05 SRT6 at Wullenweber for a good price ($26K last I checked). There are probably 20-25 new '06 Crossfires running around the Greater Cincinnati area purchased at the discounted prices from the local dealers during the past few months. But I think the bargains may be about gone now...

What's the market like in your area ?

Any deep discount '06s left out there ?

Still a lot out here. I was able to find 48 SRT-6s within 250 miles of me the last time I checked. I didn't look for Limited or Base cars, but I would suspect they are very plentiful as well...

Question Re: Crossfire deals drying up ?

Per a Search on Autotrader, right Now for the whole USA:

0,082 SRT6 Convertibles (actual # is lower, there are some Coupes here miss listed)
0,231 SRT6 Coupes (actual # is lower, there are some Ltd/Bases here miss listed)
3,742 Other Crossfires (4,055 - 313[231+82])

4,055 Total Crossfires on Autotrader.com (This of course is Not All of them for Sale).

The SRT6 numbers are definitely decreasing. When I do my sampling using cars.com, ebay, autotrader, etc. - I still pull up a bunch, but only ~1 or 2 out of 10 are ones that aren't already in my database.
I used to be able to track down 10-20/week. Now I'm lucky to find 5 that I haven't found before.

What I was referring to was the heavily discounted "new" '06 models.

The ones sold as new at $10,000 off sticker.

I purchased mine this past March. Locally, I don't think there are any left.
'07 Crossfires are now on some of the dealer's lots. They are NOT being discounted like the '06 models were. So I'm not saying the supply of Crossfires is disappearing, but the hay-day of ten grand off sticker for a new one may be about over !

Hi Slim
I noticed you bought your new '06 in March this yr. I bought mine in mid April from a Dayton dealer. Have you rec'd a rather enticing offer from Chrysler's administration's area letting you in on the now existing limited powertrain warranty as thou you bought your car after july 26, this yr. & would automatically be covered.

It's a rather formal flyer so to speak, made to look as thou the service mgr. of the dealer where you purchased the car mailed it personally to you. I checked with Fiancé at the dealer & it is a legit offer. I called Chrysler Warranty & Chrysler Administration direct & it definitely is the same Limited Powertrain Warranty that we can buy into at a reasonable price compared to the one that was offered back in April to me for a 7-70 in place of my 3-36 for about a $2,400 fee.

This is for life & is the same one that all new vehicle purchases carry since July 26. I must decide by Sept 30. It's still avail. after that but will rise to $1,400 from there on. It comes in two versions: l. $750 but each visit is $100 ded. 2. $900 & no ded. for life. This is a one time fee & will immed. carry the 5 day loaner car for each covered visit, which is not part of our present 3-36.

I don't know how far back their going with this offer, but it refers to '06 new purchases in the paper work. A formal contract will be mailed by Chrysler to show you are part of the Lifetime warranty.

Let me know if you rec'd anything on your car yet.

Recently (last week) got a "leftover" 2006 Crossfire LTD red roadster from the local dealer. Had less than 500 miles on it, never titled. Only thing we've received so far is a large box with the crossfire luggage package. Haven't heard of any special warrantee deals, so i'd best check it out. Thanks!
Oh, BTW, the car had a 41.8K sticker on it, and got it at 10K off.

I just saw a place in Florida that has them at REAL DEEP discounts. SRT included.

Just a note: I have nothing to do with this place, I just saw them on there after a friend showed me a Maserati for $19k

http://www.casmiami.com/inventory/ca...ysler#Chrysler

2005 Coupes for $18,900
2005 SRT6 for $23,900

They are giving that fat discount on '07s ? Are you sure ? Check the VIN, I had been told that only the left-over sold-as-new '06s were getting the 10K+ discounts. I'm not trying to be augmentative, just getting the facts straight.

Regarding Autotrader searches...

as of 9-11-07 @ 4:30 PM

Total listings for NEW 2006 Crossfires within 100 miles of Cincinnati... 8

Seven of those were in Lexington

Total listings for NEW 2006 Crossfires NATIONWIDE... 463

Friends, that IS NOT a lot of cars for the entire country. At this rate, given the fat discounts, the '06s will be all gone by Halloween !

Does everyone hear that very light fading applause in the background? That is what's left from the standing ovation that was given to the Fat Lady. She's done singing. The show is over, and I've seen other dealers Raising the prices of their remaining cars. I've had 3 people reach me about our last "New / Used" SRT-6 Coupe in the last 3 days. I sold it last week for $25,673 and we delivered it to New York for free. ($300 real Money).

I just did a national search on autotrader. There are tons of 'em out there. There are many with low miles for under 25 grand. I even saw a few under 100 miles for less than 23 grand. She's not singing yet.

If you do a national search and then sort by mileage you will see that a ton of Crossfires were bought up by Bohnham Chrysler and Greenwillve Chrysler in Texas (both are the same owner). these two dealers are out in small towns about 65 miles from Dallas. They have left over 2005 SRT's and 2006's. I was out there witha friend and they have many more that what is listed online. Most of their cars have under 100 miles. All the cars are very dirty since the dealership operates on a dirt lot. I was told they have even more in storage.

When someone posts a picture of their VIN I will believe they have a 2007.

I'm Sorry Slim,
I miss read it, but you did mention an '05 SRT6, and I guess it threw me, as that is what I focus on.
Yes, once all the extra inventory dries up, so will the Great Deals!

I BELIEVE! Just couldn't find one when I was looking to buy. I heard the 2007's where sold in other countries but not the US.
