I have now had two experiences when I was pulling into parking places where the car started accelerating with me standing on the brake. Has anyone experienced this?

 

Have you made any modifications to the ECU or have you added a SB lately?

Is it a M/T or A/T. With my Manual trans it used to do that doing a scan showed it was running rich. The dealer had the nerve to ask me if my foot was accidentally on the gas. I never got the problem fixed and it didn't do it everytime. I did a throttle reset seemed like it might have helped.

 

I haven't done anything to the car. I am not much of a mechanical person... I just enjoy the ride and the styling. Thanks for your help.

It is a automatic, with the tip-tronic shifting (i guess that is what it is called). Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what my dealer says.

I have a 2017, and it just happened. My car swerved toward the cars on the left and all I could do was force it back and stomp on the brakes. It was so fast I could have really been hurt bad. It scared me to death! What did you find about this?

Auto or manual?
And mods?
Ever done the throttle reset?
Was cruise control on?
What speed where you driving?
And accelerating to speed or cruizing?
Do you have obd bluetooth adapter, and torque app or similar app?
Miles on car?

I had a vacuum leak years back. It would cause my car to idle faster than norman,then idle slower than normal. Rpm's just kept going back and forth while sitting at traffic lights. Fixed the vacuum leak and been trouble free for years now. Squirrel Crusher

 

That happen to me a few times and I realized while stepping on the brake my shoe was also touching the accelerator causing the car to speed up.

I'm kinda curious why any type of throttle/vacuum issue would cause a car to swerve left .....

 

I can believe that, it happened to me once the other winter, it took me a while to realize that I still had my snow shoes on.
