HUH? I'M TALKING SRT-6 HERE. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN MORE RACES WITH Z'S THAN ANY OTHER CAR. THEY ALWAYS GET BEAT BAD. NEVER EVEN CLOSE, HECK I LET THEM PUNCH IT FIRST AND STILL WALK AWAY FROM THEM. I NEVER DRIVE THE G-37, WIFE'S TOY.

just because you're redlining doesn't mean they are. when i had my crossfire, i used to get killed by Zs (i honestly used to hate them). i do know that the automatics are quite a bit slower than the 6 speeds (especially the '07s). don't get me wrong though. i like the crossfire still (i wish i still had my old one too). both cars get attention.

Race an '07 or '08 Z. that would be interesting. i know the srt would probably pull from the line, but it would be close on the interstate. i know for sure my '07 will easily hang with an srt-8 300.

you're right that would be interesting race, srt6 vs new z. the srt8 C300 is a pig of a car, any srt6 guys go up against one of these yet?

I don't redline my motor I take it up to 5,200 rpm, but you are right those autoZ are dogs compared to the standard trans versions.

I have raced an '07 Z. Like the new wheels. Still slow. What'cha want me to say, it' faster than my G-37? Ok it is. Nowhere near as refined. Sometimes you just want to drive in style with enough power and handling to take out 95% of the cars on the road.

are you sure it was an '07? new wheels were added in '06.

an '07 is only 0.2 second shy of the SRT-6's 0-60.

This thread is 11+ years old. I would not expect a response.

Probably referring to the SRT-6 emblem. All you need to know about the SRT emblem is that it pretty much means it's an animal of a car.
