In town and stop and go on the freeway is around mid to low 20's depending how bad the traffic is. High 20's to low 30's when on the freeway and I don't do much hill climbing. I did a 360 mile round trip the other week with the air off and doing 80. I got 25 on the trip up (including quite a bit of hill climbing) and 29 on the trip down.

Ok, today I drove 300.6 miles and 95% was interstate through NE PA (Wilkes Barre area). Drove 65 on cruise with a few 75 moments. I filled up at same pump as when I left this AM and pumped 12.49 gals. That works out to 24.07 mpg. Not quite as good as I had expected but as the commerical says "When you turn on your car, does it return the favor?" Yep, it does.

OOPs, forgot to tell you this was the SRT6.

Something you have to keep in mind is that those numbers on the Moroney sticker are under controlled conditions in a laboratory that in no way shape or form resemble everyday driving. Humidity, elevation and a flat floor room versus, Denver driving and Phoenix driving, day or night, in traffic or not. Something to take in consideration. When I started looking at fuel economy, when I had my Jeep, the sticker said 15-19 MPG. That was with a 4 speed auto in 31" tires and 4.11 gears I was luck to get 12. Once I lifted it 6.5" and threw under there 37" tires with 5.38 gears, I was happy to get 7 MPG. With the "new" (used) Crossfire I get about 28-30 so I don't mind using the better gas.

My Liberty is rated at 31 mpg hi-way according to transport canada testing. Well it doesn't even come close. My average is around 20 mpg. Then again I don't do 100 kph (62 mph) which is the posted limit on 400 series highways in Ontario. Not sure what the XF gets but I do no it is better then the Liberty.

I've been wondering what others get too. I purchased my '05 roadster about 6 weeks ago in the Chicago area. BTW, Luck Motors is a great place to do business (The name sounds terrible, doesn't it).

Anyway, driving from Chicago to St. Louis (340 miles) I used 8.3 gallons. THAT's 41 mpg... I was doing the speed limit the entire time.

Driving around town, and verifying 3 different fill ups, I got 28.

Wonder why it is so good...

Glenn

My '04 Limited auto gets 28 MPG highway, cruising between 75-80 MPH on the 4 laners, 25 MPG mixed town & highway. I'm happy with that.

I got through my first tank and I only got 21.5 MPG. I was getting 24 to 25 MPG with my Scion TC and that was a fourbanger. I mostly drive around town.

I remember quite a few but so many have come and gone. I wonder if any of them ever check back?

I've owned my 2007 Coupe for over 14 years now. Here's the overall Gas Mileage & Operating Costs (less Depreciation & Insurance) since ownership. Fairly consistent with no drop-off in performance. Doesn't get much better than that!

Pretty much the published figures: 17 / 24 (SRT) The only long drive (purchased/drove 1000 miles home) it averaged 30 mpg.
Obviously as long as you keep your foot 'out of it' the mileage increases. (With my various cars) When people ask " Does it get good mileage" I remind them it's a sports car !

A trip to Ann Arbor from Cincinnati area using the Ethanol free 90 Octane , Drove to Ann Arbor and then to Hell and then to Ypsi and then over to Gull lake to the Gilmore Museum and then to Portage and back to fill up in Ann Arbor. 30 MPG for the total on that tank of gas and 400 miles. and about the sameway going home.
the car used was my 2005 Roadster but top up for half of the trip and 121,000 miles on the clock.

roughly 320 miles per tank in my '08.
less than 10mpg in my SRT right now due to some fuel issues (I think)... Car is a turd but I'm invested.

I'll be updating this data this weekend.
