How long do brakes last?

I'm just under 25k on my 2004 and the brakes feel as good as the day I got the car. In the past with front wheel drive sedans, I'd be thinking about my front brakes by now.

What have other people found?

I have the Rotex Gold Brake Pads front and back and have 26K miles on them, no fade or squeal as yet.

23,300 they are very worn and I really don't think they will save me again like they did more than a few times... waiting for new rims, before I install them...
