Default Ever get blinded by your spoiler?

So I have discovered a rather irritating little trait of my car - the first I dislike. When I am driving home in the afternoons from work, my spoiler comes up, and promptly reflects the sun into my eyes via the rearview mirror, effectively blinding me. I put it down, but how funny - it didn't happen a couple weeks ago. Darn winter.

Happened to me too. Driving on the Pacific Coast Highway the sun bounces off the spoiler, into the rear view and directly in my eyes. That's when I look out the window and see the dolphins in the water, the gorgeous sun bouncing off the waves and realize that it's a minor nuisance for living in paradise. ;-)

I have not had this happen to me yet but when the sun shines in the back of the car at sunrise or sunset I have used the night feature on the rear view mirror and it does cut the glare and you can still see very well.

That is the best thing about the SRT spoiler. My limited's spoiler used to blind me, but I liked the way it looked better. I also liked the movable option.

The SRT spoiler is a bit big for my tastes, but it doesn't blind me!

Nope never had that issue, but I also had the car tinted 5% the day I got it.

I can't believe that no one has supplied a smart a$$ answer yet so here goes. A liberal application of sandpaper to the spoiler should effectively reduce this glare problem.

You could always do the carbon fiber wrap that someone sells for the wing. That should reduce the glare.

The one thing I like better about the SRT spoiler is you can actually see out the back through the rear view mirror. When I was driving my '04 coupe you couldn't hardly see anything out the back when the little wing was up.

I've never had a problem with the spoiler and light. I find it is beneficial at night as it effectively blocks most of the light from cars behind you. The light sensitive rear view also helps quite a bit. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of light intensity from such a low car.

I agree the spoiler will be your friend at night blocking the bright lights of the people behind you. It's even better with the automatic mirror like mine.

or if you drink a lot the glare won't bother you...
and maybe it would make that little tiny wing that many of you have look bigger too -
for those of you who do not have the x-large SRT-6 wing.

couldn't resist...

Or you can do like I did, and wire up a by-pass switch that keeps the spoiler in the down position until "you" want it to go up.
