best little speaker upgrade
best little speaker upgrade
I have always been frustrated with the sound of the stock stereo in the crossfire, I have played with the capacitors and that was a good start, but I found a set of miniature tweeters with capacitors built into their small case and installed them on the ledge just above the where the shoulder seat belt, wired it to the front door speakers and WOW, now there is good sound... it is an incredible difference, the higher frequencies are much crisper and the sound is very clean, up and running for 6 months now and I am so happy. If you are not happy with the stock sound, a few dollars and a little time to hide the wires and clean crisp stereo phonic ecstasy.

Re: best little speaker upgrade
I'd be interested in trying that as well. I'm pretty happy with my setup as it is, but sounds like a good idea. I have the stock speakers and subs running off a Clarion deck with the front speaker capacitor mod. The deck made ALL the difference. The factory radio is CRAP!
With the Clarion deck's huge tuning ability, I was able to get everything tuned for GREAT clarity and volume. The Bass ROCKS, and I can turn way up with no distortion. It sounds like I have at least a 10" sub in the car. The factory speakers are great, they just aren't controlled or powered very well.
