Mine's done/doing it...not sure what you can really do since it would be considered normal wear and tear.

Mine started peeling at only a couple thousand. Bracing yourself against the console with a sweaty, sunscreen-coated leg while autocrossing seems to make it peel very quickly. Haven't talked to a dealer about it yet.

Is this happening to all the interior colors, or just certain ones?

It's happening to me too. Right next to the parking brake. I'm having a hard time chalking it up to reasonable wear and tear. The first time I noticed it, I became very aware of my habits when applying the parking brake, and I don't even touch the area that is peeling.

I haven't experienced this (YET). I would think that it certainly should be brought to the dealers attention. I had a Pontiac Trans Sport that the black roof paint just disintigrated and faded down to the primer. It was out of warranty but so many people had the same problem I insisted that it had to be a defect. I kept on them until they relented and repainted the roof for free.

I wouldn't think that this was normal wear and tear either. As the great captain on Galaxy Quest said "...Never give up! Never surrender!..."

It should be covered under warranty if it's peeling on its own and not damaged by you. I just had my door pull handle replaced because it was peeling. It looks like metal but they're plastic with a metal type tape on them.

I've got the two tone slate gray interior with a build date of April 06, 2005 - no peeling yet.

That's why I asked, because I have the Cedar/Gray and I have 30k miles on my car with no peeling anywhere. I was wondering if it could have been caused by a bad batch of paint?
It might interesting, if somebody started a thread where everybody who has experienced this problem could post their interior color, and build date, just to see if the cars were built around the same time.

If your car is under warranty they should replace it. There is TSB on this so it must be a known problem for the handle.
