This has been discussed before...

But, I'd like to change my response. I either get no response or an over the top frantic wave back.

i live in a fairly nice neighborhood, no ones been shot here recently not too many break ins people still walk at night blah blah, if i'm outside lets say washing the car, or mowing the grass and someone comes walking by i wave or say hello, they are after all my neighbors, people ignore me, i've had people look at me then cross the street, women clutch their purses and walk fast, etc etc. being polite or kind scares people now where as 50 years ago if you weren't people would glare at you as if you were some social deviant. so now if someone doesn't say hello back i repeat myself, if they don't respond then i yell HELLO, and when they get that worried look in there eyes that im some sort of freak i drop what i'm doing and follow them and i politely let them know that they should not return to my street ever again because it is not safe for deaf people. no offense to the deaf, there is actually a deaf lady who lives on my street, but she always waves so she's alright. my point is, if they don't wave back run them down and force them off the road, because if they are not aware of there surrounding they shouldn't be driving, its all for safety ya know?
I was recently in New Mexico for a couple weeks and spoke to someone in a parking lot and asked if they knew about the forum. The answer was "no".
When I came home I double checked the location on a member (and photo). Now knowing that it was the same person I pm'ed a hello.
No response.
Moral. Why should we be friendly on the street when we are not even friendly to other forum members.
Doesn't matter.

and for the most part younger Harley riders just ignore me cause i'm on a sportbike. Ah well ... I guess you can't expect manners from everyone.
