occupations?
Joined the Army in '65, became an officer and helicopter pilot. Went to and did all the usually places/things. Retired in 1993. Worked in appointed positions for state and federal government. When my terms expired I went to Iraq. Now I have finally found a great job in education. This is where I will stay until I die in place or finally decide to retire.
Don't fly much anymore so I do the next best thing - fly in my SRT!

Very often, people ask me what do I do for a living once they see me opening/ closing the door to the SIX (as if the car cost me a million bucks... LOL).
I tell them I'm a Purchasing Coordinator and there responses are " O that means you buy stuff", so my reply has been no "I strategically buy stuff".

I'm a small business owner. I own and run a pawn shop. I've been in this business since the early '90s and worked in retail management in some capacity since getting out of the Air Force. If anyone is interested in any type of gold jewelry for Christmas presents, send me a pm. I've got the best deals on gold and diamonds.
I am a lobbyist, one who influences legislative action or inaction through oral or written communication or one who attempts to obtain the goodwill of members and employees of the Legislature.
It’s funny, the other night I was out and some girl asked me what I do. I told her I am a lobbyist and she said “oh cool, I used to work at a hotel too but only at the front desk.” Sadly she was a current college student, who I am pretty sure has not yet taken Government 101.

Engineer/Physicist. I manage a particle accelerator lab at Auburn University. I built it and installed it in 1997, the old fart who ran the facility retired in 2001 and they couldn't find anyone with machine experience to replace him. They ended up calling me for recommendations and I took the job! I was tired of traveling so much.

By day I'm a sales/marketing manager for a company that sells/services/supports SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) equipment. (Thing 1).
By night and on weekends I'm a personal trainer at a gym. (Thing 2).
My plan within the next 12-18 months is to give up Thing 1 and own my own gym.

I'm a senior partner and senior strategist for a very specialized marketing firm but I almost work exclusively for large companies in healthcare strategizing how to bring complex healthcare products to market.
For those of you who did not know, Nashville is the world capital of healthcare.
It's not quite as boring as it sounds, but best of all, healthcare is recession-free...
and no one ever asks how much being cured cost$.
If any one on this forum discovers a cure for cancer, pm me.

National Sales Consultant for a commercial collection agency. I get companies paid from deadbeat companies who try to stiff them on their invoices. If anyone here has a need for that service feel free to contact me.
