Thumbs up New Crossfire Owner

Hi there,

I just took ownership today of a brand new 2007 Crossfire Coupe + lifetime powertrain warranty. I am 31 years old and this is my first new car! I waited a long time for this day...

I never thought I would buy a Chrysler, but this car was the one exception. Here are the reasons why I bought the Crossfire:
1. The engine is a reliable design with 9 years development and many hundreds of thousands of cars behind it.
2. The torque is immense. It accelerates smoothly in sixth gear from 25 mph all the way to the speed limit.
3. The car is quiet and comfortable. What a joy to drive!
4. It has a real trunk!
5. It is very safe.
6. Lifetime powertrain warranty.
7. and finally cost, it is the deal of the century.

I am looking forward to a good ownership experience.

I would eventually like to add oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and wideband AFR gauges. Those gauges will hopefully help me make sure everything is running at 100% and let me know if there is a problem before anything bad happens to the engine.

PS - My 2007 came with fogging headlights standard, not as an option. I'm not too worried about it though. I think it looks kind of cool and it only lasts a short while.

Welcome to the forum and wow what a great car to buy as your first new car!!! You will absolutely love it and probably never want to sell it. I bought my 04 Coupe back in April this year with low miles and have put 10,000
miles on it in only 8 months. I have a lot of pics in my "user gallery"

Use the "search" option and you will find virtually anything you ever want to know about these awesome cars and again welcome and post some pics in your "user gallery".

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm not exactly the type of guy who likes to "customize" cars with new emblems or whatnot. I'm pretty happy with the styling of my car as is. But thanks for pointing it out - I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who want to make their car "their own".

I understand that you like the car just as it is. There is a long standing member here "Andrew" in the forum that can provide you with a very nice Crossfire emblems that adheres to your Chrysler badges on the front, back and wheels caps. They are high quality, easy to install and removable.
I have them on my Crossfire and they look really nice.

Welcome to the forum. Now, what about your headlights? Fogging as in they have condensation inside them? If so, there is a service bulletin about that issue. There is a seal kit the dealer can install under warranty. Search on this forum for TSB or service bulletins. Just about anything you need to know about your car can be found on this forum.
I'm sure you know by now that these cars are Mercedes except for the body and assembled in Germany. Enjoy!!
