Question Decisions, Decisions

I'm ready to buy after quite a bit of looking. Looking CPO.

Option 1 is an 06 limited aero blue, 2 tone leather, 6K miles, warranty start date of 4/2007. It was used as a rental car in the midwest for 4 months.

Option 2 is an 05 limited same colors inside and out. 19K miles, warranty start date of 4/2006. Ity was a corporate lease.

The 05 is $1K less, but has 13K more miles and 1 year less warranty time. Both are real nice--no marks on wheels, very minor scratching in a spot or two on paint. In other words, cosmetically they are both just a tick away from looking new.

Thoughts?

What are the actual prices of the cars mentioned? At todays prices and since the Crossfire is no longer in production, you could more than likely get a good price on an 2006 or 2007. The dealers will deal on these cars and there are some incentives to buy new, most are going for $10K below sticker and have the "Lifetime Warranty'.

Why don't we see an SRT6 on the list? If you are going to buy a Xfire, buy the SRT6. At least take one for a test drvie to see the difference, it you can find one..

Agree! You'll wish you had one once you drive a limited for awhile.

The 06 is 20.8, the 05 is 19.8. As far as I can find, new 06s are still at least 25.5--for a limited roadster anyway. If someone knows of limited roadsters still out there for under 25, message me please.

True, the new model would have lifetime powertrain, but the CPO powertrain is tranferable, which is a plus for me. In addition, is anyone expecting dealer to have parts and expertise 10-12 years from now for an orphan model? MB based spares and indy mechancis will be the best hope that far out.

So, the used cars are close to 5K/20% less than new.

You really should consider an SRT-6. Like many others have said, you'll wish you had bought one once you've driven the limited for a while.

I agree, buy an SRT if you can handle it.

I just ran a search (advanced) on www.cars,com and found 244 cars matching you desires. I don't know where you are, but did you try this?
