Default Reliable Service

All,
I live in the Cleveland / Akron, Ohio area and recently purchased an SRT-6. I purchased the vehicle at a Chrysler dealership about 160 miles from where I live. My question is to anyone in my general area. Do you have any recommendations on SRT-6 dealerships in my area for the service? Recently, I contacted a dealership that was somewhat recommended however; when I inquired with the service manager, "Do you see allot of these (SRT-6)?" He stated, "oh those cars are bulletproof and we don't really see too many of them." This is a good and bad thing. Great car, but I would rather have someone wrenching on the car that has some experience and know how, and not blindly experimenting with repairs.
I hope someone out there has some good information for me.
Thanks.

I don't know if they have a top-notch Crossfire certified tech
but my wife just has a really positive experience with the service department of Spitzer Chrysler/Jeep in Akron.

Well,
I would like to think that MB would honor the Chrysler warranty however; I would think that would be a stretch...

Spitzers in Akron isn't a "certified" Crossfire dealer, because they have no Crossfire techs. They can't even sell you a brand new XF there. But they do have a couple of "program cars" on the lot.
I will say that they do have a very helpful parts department though. Their parts manager spent a 1/2 hour with me just trying to find a certain part in the book. As it turned out, the $1.00 part I wanted, only came attached to $120 part that I didn't.
I purchased an oil filter from Fred Martin on Barber Rd. just off Rt. 224 last week, and the parts guy there was telling me they had a good Crossfire tech. But then, I doubt if he would tell me otherwise. That dealer does seem to sell quite a few Crossfires. But just 2 months ago their new car manager told me that Chrysler wasn't making any 2007 Crossfires either.
Rplagens, like you. I too purchased my car a long way from where I live (9 hours actually) and that was 2.5 years ago and I have yet to take it to any dealer for service (I do my own oil changes).
I'm thinking about taking my car to Klaben in Stow, because I heard that they had a good Viper tech, so maybe they feel it's important to have a well trained Crossfire tech as well.

How can you find out if your dealership has a "certified" Crossfire mechanic?

Thank you for the info about Klaban. I was actually going to call them first however; called Falls instead. The reply I got there was, yes, we are SRT certified but we don't see too many Xfires. Spoke to a friend on Sat. who has a Xfire and a Viper and he said I could also try Ganley. He said they sell allot of Vipers out of there and service them too.

A childhood friend of mine works at Klaben in Kent. He has been working on Chrysler products FOREVER and is an excellent mechanic. He also does work from his home and has been keeping my Dodge minivans in peak condition for nearly 2 decades. And he knows his way around a Viper. He will be the ONLY mechanic that I will let near my Crossfire.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Kevin Smith.

Towncrier can you put me in touch with your friend? I need someone with Crossfire experience to examine my 2004 Coupe and report their findings for my upcoming lemon law suit.
