Supercharger?
I was wondering if you could put a supercharger on a regular 6spd coupe? If you can
I would like to know what it might cost because I would like to within the next cople of months.

Sorry if this is considered threadjacking...
I think the manual, while fun, could have been so much better. First is too low and the shift to second is too notchy (is that a word?) for my taste. I'm on my second shifter mechanism and I still wish it were a smoother system. And sixth could be more of an overdrive for highway use.
If you don't make sure the shift to first is completely engaged, it will pop out. That, in itself, is no surprise but the noise it makes is ungodly. Sounds like the tranny disintegrates.
If I ever get another one, I'll go for the auto.

There's a TSB with your name on it. Under warranty? Get it fixed! The 6MT should be flawless - the 1st gear popout issue was solved 3 years ago...
I need to find a new, updated way to say....."here we go again!

Don't let HDDP see this thread......he has a pretty good method for telling people to use the search feature of the forum.

I would wait a couple more years for the car to depreciate further and let the Euro fall. pick up a nice used crossfire for about $8k, then purchase the Renntech kit for another $10k, might require $1k in tuning, so your in at about $20k you can have the manual 6spd and make 310hp with the low boost kit. it is upgradable to a high boost kit but then you've broken budget.

As for your car not shifting smoothly even with dragging the clutch, I have to say that is abnormal. I don't have to drag the clutch at all anytime. This car has
Shifting as per the service manual:
HARD SHIFTING
Hard shifting is usually caused by a low lubricant level, improper, or contaminated lubricants. The consequence of
using non–recommended lubricants is noise, excessive wear, internal bind, and hard shifting. Substantial lubricant
leaks can result in gear, shift rail, synchronizer, and bearing damage. If a leak goes undetected for an extended
period, the first indications of component damage are usually hard shifting and noise.
Shift component damage, incorrect clutch adjustment, or a damaged clutch pressure plate or disc are additional
probable causes of increased shift effort. Incorrect adjustment or a worn/damaged pressure plate or disc can cause
incorrect release. If the clutch problem is advanced, gear clash during shifts can result. Worn or damaged synchro
rings can cause gear clash when shifting into any forward gear. In some new or rebuilt transmissions, new synchronizer
rings may tend to stick slightly causing hard or noisy shifts. In most cases, this condition will decline as
the rings wear-in.
