Default Headlight burnt out! Urgh!

Where can i get bulbs other than the stealership? Murrays? AutoZone? I know it's probably very hard to install, but I just don't want to get raped for the bulb... It's the regular headlight bulb. Is that the projector bulb? Or is it a standard fillament-style bulb?

Isnt' it a projector bulb?? I fully believe you, Murrays confirmed it about 10 min ago for me... It just looks really weird. It really looks like a projector! (keep in mind, I've never owned a car with HID projector lights and dont' really know what it is/what makes it up/why it's different).

Thanks in advance!!

It looks like this , I think the stock bulbs are made by Philips.

The oem headlights are not HID they're halogen bulbs that go inside a projector lens.

The bulb is easy to install, about 20-30 minutes. I did mine; you just have to loosen a few things up around the area, pull out the socket from behind, install, and reverse.

Do you have a documented How-To on this? The dealership told me i had to take the entire fascia off!

Just like Strup said...about 20 minutes or less I have big hands and was able to do it fairly quickly. It's a tight spot and no you don't have to take off the fascia. Just a small cap over the back...disconnect plug...release tension spring...turn bulb counterclockwise and release....reverse for install making sure not to touch bulb with fingers(natural oils from hands shorten bulb life) It can be frustrating but it can be done!

You can do it from under the hood.

WTF? That's messed up.

Can somebody please take a picture and draw an arrow to what I'm supposed to unscrew? I'm used to my Neon's headlamps that are really easy to visualize. I'm not sure these are the same until I get it apart.

Any help figuring out which one I'm supposed to twist out, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

These might help, On the back of the headlight there's 2 rubber caps pull off the one that needs the new bulb. The connector plug is hard to pull off if it's the first time it's been removed just wiggle and pull on it hard it will come off. then undo the clip and pull the bulb out.

Sorry, I changed mine months ago. It seems there is a spring/clip typ attachment that holds the bulb holder to the case. You take this clip off, I dont know if you turn it clockwise etc. or not, but you pull the holder towards the rear where you will see the bulb. Pull the old bulb out and put new one in, dont thouch the bulb. Hope this helps, if not let us know, I'll go out in the morning and get better instructions, its cold out there.

The instructions say to remove the headlamp assembly. Do I need to do this? Or can I get to it by leaning over the front of the car?

You can change it from under the hood. I changed all 4 on mine.It might make it less difficult if you move a couple of things that are in the way. What side is it on driver or passenger side?

Ok here goes. There are two bulbs for each side. When I turn my car on, the HEADLIGHTS are on the OUTSIDE of each pod. Start your car, look at which bulb is out. There is a rubber seal, or cup, that covers, about 4 inches round, each bulb. Pull the cover off. You will see 4 wires that attach as 2 wires each to the socket. Look closely and you will see a wire-type connector holding the socket onto the holder. It's spring fed, side to side, so take the spring off, remove the bulb socket, change the bulb, and reconnect in reverse. I think the drivers side is easier to change because it's not blocked by other things in the area. Let me know if you have other questions.
