Damn straight! That's a beautiful machine. And the nose is a real winner, too. Just stay out of the way and you'll be okay....

Briefly, you should just be able to make/take a 'splash' of your current hood (show/customer side), out of fiberglass or similar (preferably something that does not shrink too much). Once you have that you have the mold for the outside of the hood - strakes and all. Then you lay your CF into that. One shot tool. You obviously have to trim the hood after that, finish up the raw edges etc, mount bracketry on the underside so you can attach it - unless you're going with pins etc. for an even lighter hood.

Has anyone actually had anything done in Carbon fiber? On or cars or anything else? I know there's not a set price per square in, ft, yard... but roughly how much did it cost to get what ever you got done?
Anyone can answer...

Agreed that it looks of high quality but as anyone had a part made completely of CF

Sidez have you had anything covered on the interior? I was thinking of getting the center consol done...

If you are going to use CF on anything, it should be used to save weight. If you just want it to look cool, well, you're actually adding some weight. Just my $.02

Agreed but if you cover the center consol I can't image that it would add any more than my lunch

I think the weight loss is what

Yeah I am looking for the weight loss and not just the look. There is no point in my opinion to have carbon fiber wrapped anything just for the look and not the purpose. But that is just my opinion everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

Thats the right attitude, but I dont see 15 lbs making any noticable difference in performance unless it was in rotating mass. Now if you did the whole car CF, that would be huge.

Yeah that would be HUGE. but also very very expensive to achieve unbfortunately. The hood is not the only weight reduction I am doing. The new racing seats are very very lite, aswell as the new wheels. And who knows what else is to come in the near future.
