Shifter knob question

Shifter **** question
Hi everyone, I was wondering how to remove the **** off the shifter. I have an automatic. Does it screw off or pull off? I didn't want to try until I talked to you guys. Thanks, Patty

Totally unscrew the collar at the bottom of the ****, them pull up and off,
WARNING: you gonna have to pull really hard, so be careful when it comes loose. Don't hit yourself in the head like I did.
