Default 34 Mpg!!

One tank was an amazing 34 mpg with windows up and no A/C. Now mind you my average speed was between 35 to 45 mph in congested holiday traffic between Philadelphia and Wash, DC. (Never again on that route!!! LOL)

I guess that driving slow thing really does save gas. Ah memories of Jimmy Carter and the 55 mph national speed limit. I fear it may come back. Gee we're almost there now with all the Toyota Prius blocking traffic anyway....LOL

Just checked 30.79 daily driver about 88 miles a day. Ussually hit 400+ miles befor the low gas lite comes on. Glad for the locking gas lid as gas is getting expesive and my neighbors are starting to find thier gas caps loose in the mornings.

They will just resort to drilling holes in your gas tank next.

Wow these are some crazy mpg claims. I must be a extremely leadfooted driver because I never see more than 21 or 22 mpg from my crossfire and I don't drive a srt-6. It's also mostly city driving with plenty of stops and lights and so on so I expect you could get better milage for straight interstate crusing but 30+ ?

It also depends on what gas you are getting. For example here in California, state law requires oxygenated reformulated gasoline, so the cars in California get a lower MPG.

No crazy claim here. Here is the mileage from a couple of trips we took in 05:

I checked mine today while doing mostly 75 mph - 24 mpg using the mods listed here. If I slowed down to 65, I bet it would be 30 mpg.

Not much chance of that!

50/50 back roads interstate. in the land of deception( I mean Land of Inchantment). Last summer, just after I got my new love (Crossfire), I was getting 32/33 mpg. must be the combination of winter gas (oxygenated) and my new appreciation of the joy of using the accelarator the way it was intended. Can't wait for summer gas and driving with the windows down.

I'm finding that with the Xfire, the faster I go the better the MPGs. Going an average of 80mph nets better MPGs than 70mph for me. 29.85 mpg was my best so far.

Very interesting. I though the slower we go, the better MPG we should get. But seems like different people get a completely different result. In my case, driving at 65 or 80, makes no difference to me, still getting around 23 MPG.

Now, I know I am new and all that, but, come on, I bought mine to drive, ...fast..., foot in it...fast...and did I mention, I am a cop...so, the guys kind of know who the nut is in the blk Xfire on Route 31N with his head up his *&% and leave me alone for the most part. I wouldn't have a clue what the mileage is, but my GC SRT8 is about 8mpg with my foot in it, that I do know...just havin' some fun...good night all, Doc

Last 339 miles = /13.6 gal = 24.9 mpg. Darn happy with that! Fair amount of "getting-on-it" during those numbers....
