Default Cool Feature

So I was driving around the foothills today and had my cruise set. I had to shift down to 5th while going up a steep hill. The cruise automatically kicked back in. I think that is a very wicked feature. I'm loving this car more and more each day.

You mean you were in 6th with the cruise on, downshifted to 5th & the cruise kept you at the speed you were running in 6th?........& I assume same when you shifted back to 6th? Cool.....

yeah if you read the owners manual, somewhere in there it says that while in cruise mode if you shift within like 2-3 seconds it'll stay at cruise speed, that may not be exact but I remember it saying something along those lines

Yeah, I was downshifting from 6th to 5th and the cruise kicked back in and kept the same speed.

I've tried that quite a few times myself. Still feels a bit wierd, but it's nice to have the cruise stay on the job after shifting. Just another of those pleasant surprises ... and something I've never heard of before on a manual transmission.

Exactly. That is why it caught me by surprise!
