What does this air filter do?

I was looking for a new air filter and this was one of the options. Anyone know where this goes in the car, or if it even does?

hey i made my custom CAI the same way that guy did took off like 2 tenths of my qt. time but mine r k&n btw there 3in base.

is that system even worth it, due o it sucking in hot air from the engine bay. I'm lookinfg for the most efficient intake i can find for the $$. Sorry to thread jack, figured it was a good place to ask

We have an intake for sale for the N/A. Added 8HP and 12TQ to the wheels. Cost is 295.00 shipped.

Includes 3" aluminum tubing, K&N filter, and all necessary boots, clamps, and accessories.

can i keep the stock engine cover on though? i realy dont wantto have to mod/change/buy new cover, but i like it on..thanks
