Thumbs up Power for the Crossfire

Finally! I truly believe that I have found the answer to getting more POWER! I have ordered an Electric Supercharger ... not a $39.95 Turbonator. This Supercharger has been invented by a real Engineer! It will give your Crossfire a 40% HP Increase! It doesn't stop there either, the 40% is for full-time driving, for Drag Racing you can get even more! In fact there are add-ons that will safely give your full-time driving more HP! I should be getting it in about 3 weeks. I will post the results the first night that I test it out. I apologize for sounding like a "Snake-Oil Salesman", but after trying literally everything on the Web, to no avail! I finally came across this site, and I called them up (obviously, very skeptical) but after several conversations with the engineer I am so optimistic that I am about to burst! Finally a HP increase that is reletively inexpensive, and safe for your car.

If this works as I beleve it will, we will no longer be getting stomped on by a souped-up Camry. With setting the Supercharger at a moderate setting will now give us 301 HP ... that isn't too shabby for just a start! For a couple hundred bucks more you can safely add another 60 HP. I can't wait to pull up next to an SRT6! I admit that my excitement is premature, but we will see. Like I said, I will Post it as soon as I have the proof. I will also give you all the info for getting one for yourself. I am not giving anyone free advertising, or mislead anyone until I have the proof.

P.S. I have belonged to this site for sometime, but I forgot my username, so instead of fooling around I just registered in my dog's name ... if I forget that, you shouldn't believe a word I say. lol Jeff Phelps

Shouldn't this have been posted under the "very funny forum jokes" thread?

Believe me, I was just as skeptical as you until I talked to the Engineer. I agree that I am being very optimistic, but like I said, we will know in 3 weeks.

And who exactly is "The Engineer"? Your post sounds like a reject from the pages of Alex Roy's "The Driver".

The only person who has an electric supercharger on the market that works is Thomas Knight. Everything else is poo.

Who's to say he didn't Give Thomas Knight a call?
I have spoken to him, but anything he was able to do was far from cheap!

Unless it's coming with a 3K price tag sounds like "snake-oil" to me

For the gains claimed that would require approx. 8 lbs. of boost. I've yet to see one of those electric superchargers claim more than 1 lb. boost.

I may have to go out and get some of those go fast extra horsepower stickers people put on the fenders or rear windows - you've seen them:

Flowmaster
K&N
Trick
Eddlebrock
B&M

...oops almost forgot the all show/noise no go fart can 4" muffler tips

But just in case it works I'll be ordering a FLUX CAPACITOR for my SRT-6

I seen this before, the 3 weeks are going to turn into 6 months or the cool toy will give you 10HP.

I admit that I am extremely excited about the supercharger, but after installing countless chips, and anything else that had a chance of giving me more HP I think I have a reason to be. As I stated before I will test it out, and post the results. One person said "you better have the dyno sheets" somehow this person has been led to believe that I have a vested interest in whether he buys one, or not. I am merely informing everyone that there is hope to get our otherwise fantastic cars to perform like they should. Let's face it 215 HP doesn't get the job done. I may, or may not put it on the dyno. If you don't want to take my results as the truth, it is fine by me, what the hell do I care? Let's just wait and see what the results are....Jeff

I like it every time I see 215hp is not enough. Why the hell just not buy the SRT6. After putting the money into upgrading the motor, you could have bought the SRT6.

You know, Jeff, I totally agree with you. If someone is concerned that you may fudge the times, let them do more research elswhere. Let them make the investment you are and share their info with others. You're not to blame if their XFire doesn't perform as well as yours. This happens with the racing world where each car owner has access to the same equipment, but can't seem to turn a better time than the competition.

I will not be making any heavy duty mods to my XFire. I'm considering the ECU tune and Sprint Booster, but that's about it right now. I'm planning on driving the car for enjoyment and not beating it up at all.

Bob

Hey cool, I've got one of those gas line "fuel atom aligner" magnets you can add too.....oh wait, I think I've still got one of those intake air "turbolators" in a drawer around here somewhere I can throw in. More power and better mileage to go with that electric bilge fan "100HP" turbo...........you're kidding, right.......I've known a LOT of mechanical/electrical engineers over the years who couldn't design a good paper bag........or paper plate for that matter.......(by the way, if this thing is so awesome, why not throw them a plug? Who makes this wonder of modern science?)

You're right Jeff, we don't.
If you truly have had your Crossfire for a long time, (and you're on the up and up) you should be able to post your serial # on this thread, and somebody who works at a dealer can verify you are at least a Crossfire owner, and have been for awhile. This one simple act would go along way in giving you some credibility.
But joining yesterday, and coming on here sounding like a spokesperson for
some "Super Glue" on TV just doesn't cut it.
Sorry for sounding like such a skeptic, but if just such a wonderful invention did indeed exist, the automotive magazines would have been all over it by now.
We've all been down this road before.

For all of 10 seconds. Electric superchargers have a problem producing positive intake pressures related to the lack of electric power available in a vehicle. In other words... you're gonna need more batteries, a SERIOUS altenator, and it can't run for more than a few seconds at a time before it drains the reserve. Talk about counter-productive. And you still have to solve the fuel demand and timing retard issue.

You'd be better off with a Nitrous Oxide setup.
