With all the horror stories posted about Chrysler Stealers treating XFire owners like "red headed" step children (no offense to any red headed step children out there) !!! I'm glad that so far I've been able to deal with the local Benz dealer for parts and terrific parts service ! Usually the parts are cheaper thru Benz and I've found the local guy behind the parts counter here in Austin used to work for Chrysler so he's completely familiar the Lil Chrysler/Mercedes Hybrid we know and Love !

Pacifica has transverse mounted V6 engines only, R has logitudinal mounted V6 or V8 engines. Those two platforms are totally different.

I have an 04 Pacifica. I was told by the dealership that it was based of the E class Mercedes frame and the R series. I prefer the look of the Pacifica to the R sieres anyway.

I've noticed the engine compartment of my wife C240 looks a lot like my engine compartment. One day when she's not looking I'm gonna switch engine covers with her.

Proving once again that car salespeople don't know jack.

My parents had a Pacifica for a while and I got to drive it during a visit to their place a few years back. For the type of vehicle it is I thought it was unique (at the time), quite comfortable and nicely done. It could have done with a bit more power, which I believe was subsequently addressed, but overall I found it to be a very nice package.
