What do you pay for insurance?
I do insurance for a living. Actually now I train all the insurance agents.
Insurance will always be diffrent for everyone based mainly on CREDIT, AGE, DRIVING HISTORY, and VEHICLE. Other factors are married/single, mileage, current insurance in effect, current insurance limits...etc.
To give you a better idead I will tell you this. Vehicles are rated on a scale and assigned a symbol and crossrefrenced with the year (collision/comp covg only).
The company I work for uses the numbers 1-10 and the Alphabet A-Z.
1 is the cheapest car to insure Z is the most expensive.
I have never seen a car that is a 1.
The 2004 Chrysler Crossfire is a G.
Which is not terribly expensive for a sports car.
My 1993 VW Corrado was an R
and my 1983 280zx was a S

I pay 328.60 per month. I'm 19. But I have had two nearly fatal accidents. My first car was a 2007 Cadillac CTS, and the second was a 2006 Acura TL. Both wrecks were rollovers, and neither wreck was my fault. I have nearly $75,000 worth of claims on my insurance. Both wrecks were hit and runs, so they both had to come out of my insurance. I have a 2006 Crossfire coupe now.
Western Michigan, married, excellent credit, home owner.
I pulled the Crossfires off my regular policy because with four cars, they assigned one to each teenager and my son ended up on my Audi. That doubled the insurance on it.
So I put the Crossfire on a separate policy with Progressive with the kids excluded. Unfortunately I was dinged with a no-points speeding ticket and I pay $393/6 months. $77 of that is statutory fees - basically paying for the no-fault law and all the freaking uninsured motorists.
When I added the roadster, I received a multi-car discount and the six month cost is $664. Since these are summer cars driven for 6-7 months, this is perfect.
On my regular policy they assign my wife to her 2007 Mercury Milan, me to my 2003 Audi, and both teenagers to my daughter's 1995 Buick (gift from grandparents). To save a little money, I pulled the Audi off the road for the summer (leave comprehensive on it) and alternate driving the two Crossfires.

A follow up to your insurance question about class. I know the company I work for uses what's called a PGS symbol The lower in the alphabet the cheaper the car is rated (again don't forget there are other factors). So Corvettes. certain BMW's etc (incl Crossfires) are on the high end of the rating system. It all depends on how your company rates vehicles. I'd be happy to look it up for you as it relates to my company. I'll pm you my 800 number.

Here's a follow up to your question about comparison to Corvette.
A base or Ltd Crossfire comes up in the middle of the pack. My symbol is an I.
The Corvette I compared was a 07 and it was an E so more expensive to insure. The SRT Crossfire was rated a C, even higher than the Vette. Now that's how Allstate rates the cars, again there are many other factors that go into a rate. Other insurance companies may have them rated entirely different. My best advise is shop around and take your time and don't BS the agent if they ask you about accidents and tickets. Nothing is more infuriating than someone who swears up and down they are clean, you give them a clean rate only to find that there is a mess on their driving record.

Are you on your parent's policy? If not it might save you money to be on their policy. If you are what are the other cars in the family and who is rated on what car? Do you have good grades? Some companies offer a discount for a 3.0 or better.
Some companies also offer discounts for defensive driving programs, check with your company. That said a young driver (under 21) is going to pay dearly if they want a car like a Crossfire. Again you should shop around. I had a 19 year old buy a new Mustang a few weeks back. His dad wanted him off the family policy. Our rate was very high. He went to Progressive and got a rate at half what I could do for him.
