Default oil change question

Hey how many quarts does the crossfire take? I bought six, but I think someone mentioned 8.5 quarts?

8 to 8.5. Only put in 8 to start, run it, and then check it again. I've never put in more than 8 and it brings it to right to the full mark on the dipstick. I think the 8.5 is for the dry fill.

I have had the same experience. Eight is enough. Recommend a fleece filter. The one paper filter that I used came back out looking like crap!

"HELP" I used 8 1/2 Quarts and its a little over the full line is this bad? Do I need to take action? It's only a little over the high line but I used just a little under 8 1/2 quarts of 0w-40 mobil 1. I just don't want to cause a problem please let me know what you think.

Keep an eye on the High oil level idiot light. Dealer put in 8.5 ahd the tone would sound and the light would come on. Took it back and they removed .5 or a quart and the problem went away.

If the light doesn't come on, you're OK, right?
