Default Car Show Recognition

I went to a local "ALL AMC" car show yesterday in my Crossfire, and much to my surprise they let me compete. As it turned out I wasn't the only "non-AMC" there. I parked right next to a nice 1966 Charger (I thought of Silver Fox immediately) and even a beautiful 1966 Corvair Convertible showed up.
What I never expected to happen, was that I won the "Peoples Choice" award.

Thanks everybody for the "props", usually I never enter any car shows because there use to be so much "politics" involved.
Congrats back at ya Tony, that's great hearing about your 1st. place win against all those "other" new cars. I wish my car was as nice as yours.
The last time I took my car to a weekly show at "Quaker Steak & Lube" in Cleveland, the guy wasn't even going to let me in because as he put it, "This show is for Classic Cars only". I sat there looking at all the new Vettes, Mustangs, GTO's New T-Birds etc. and asked him, "What's your point"? He rolled his eyes and let me in.
Tony you're right, most everybody gets a kick out of my hood. Coincidently, there was a guy there that had an all steel 1965 T-Bird hood scoop on his Gremlin. The scoop was so long that he ran it up to the windshield and it sort of looked like he had cowel induction.

Congratultions Mike You and your car deserve the honor. I'll bet they did have a great time figuring out how that hood ended up on a Crossfire

Congrats Mike, peoples choice at an AMC show is quite an accomplishment. I wonder if the AMX hood scoop had anything to do with it

Hey Mike,
A Great Big Congrats! I hope there was a Cash prize also, so you can get some more food for 'Mikey' for this upcoming Winter. jk
So you parked next to one of my old 'Loading Ramps', those things were a classic,
four bucket seats,(how often do you see that) great for birth control.
