Holy expensive! Geico quoted me about 40% higher than what I have with State Farm. At least they quoted me this time. When I was shopping with my 2000 Trans Am a couple years ago I still had a few points on my license and Geico declined to even give me a quote.
I have been with State Farm since 1992. I chose SF bec of their rates and moreover better service.
A friend of mine had his new 4 runner stolen in NYC. Not once but twice within an year. A check came within a week from SF to my friend. I learned from him and went to SF.
I have shopped around with Geico and others but SF rates were always the best. I think Geico spends a ton of money on the Ads – you know, those damn gerbils and lizards.

I wouldn't switch from state farm and i hear that geico is bad about dropping your insurance if you have an accident. They were also significantly more expensive when I checked there the last time.
I'm with Geico now, and they are expensive.....
I always thought state farm was expensive, I'm calling them tonight. I pay about $140.00 per month for full coverage. I didn't even bother to shop around, I'm quite lazy!!

I pay about $90/$500 ded. a month now for full coverage with Geico. Through state farm it was going to be closer to $150 a month, and that was with my Limited
I make 9 monthly payments of $125/each for a year's coverage ($1125.00 for the whole year) through Wawanesa - heard great things about them while I had Geico coverage. They were slightly cheaper than Geico, who was waaay cheaper than anything else I'd ever seen. But that $1125/year is for the 2005 Crossfire Roadster, 2004 PT Cruiser Turbo and 1992 Camaro RS combined. It helps to be 48 years old, married, and live in a very safe community where the cars are all garaged.
I'm with USAA got the 05 Limited and an '06 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. 1092 ever 6 months with 500 deductible. Full coverage and USAA knows the Jeep gets "offroaded". Got 1 speeding ticket and 1 not at fault accident, plus the recent comprehensive claim with the deer strike.

Geico, is a joke... if you are strong as death-
Definition of Strong as Death- have money in the bank, great credit, real estate assets, no insurance claims or issues, you are at least over 35, married etc. In other words you are a low risk liability to the insurance company.
insurance wise (fit their criteria) they have a decent competitive rate. I had them quote me a few years ago and their quote wasn't any better than the other good companies that write strong as death people.
That 15 minutes to save 15% is designed to data mine your butt to death for all of the other companies Buffett- Berkshire Hathaway owns (lots of them look it up). So if they can't write you insurance you can bet your butt they will try to sell you something else.
When you are strong as death, EVERY Every other insurance company will write a decent cost policy if you are strong as death. You will find every company is fairly close to cost- some a little less than others. A good agent can even find lower prices within the same company if you are strong as death. The agent just makes less commission because the premium will be less. Agents make a % of the premium, but a good agent will work for you to earn your Other Business.
Using Geico when you are young and have a few 'issues' is expensive and they will refuse to write your insurance when you really need it, so my question about Geico is why would I want to give them business when I can get a great deal from everyone else- when you become strong as death?
