Smile Shifter **** DISASTER!!

Hi a few weeks ago I put up a thread about my shifter **** coming off completely along with the panel and such,When I pulled up on it to go into reverse.
Thank you for the reply's on what to do about it.
Unfortunately I wasnt able to do anything about it, at the time
So i left it the way it was.
Obviously that was a big mistake.
When I was driving home from work yesterday the shifter **** came off in my hand when I was in the middle of shifting into second gear.
So now I'm driving the car with no **** just the steel pin that comes out of the transmission...hahahaha
I looked at the shifter when I got home and it looks like a piece is snapped off inside(the part that grabs the steel pin or something like that(i'm not too up on the tech side of things)...
So i think that **** is usless now..but maybe not.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
Will the dealership be able to fix this right away if I take it in?
Or will I have to be driving it the way it is waiting on a part to come from overseas.
Any insite on the problem, would be appreciated.
Thanks Guys.

well a good quick fix is to just go get a crappy cheap **** from autozone and put it on, then figure out what you're gonna do later
