Production vs sales
I just bought my 2006 crossfire coupe about a week ago. First I must say I'm really impressed with this forum. There's a lot of good advice here and there seems to be a number of very knowledgable members contributing.
When I did a Carfax on my car it noted that the car was shipped to the U.S. in Aug of 2006. The mfg date on the door of the car says it was built in Sept of 2005. Carfax said it came to the U.S. with no miles on it and was shipped to Texas. I guess I'm wondering why it spent almost a year lingering in Europe before being shipped here. Where sales so slow they held back vehicles until the pipeline began to dry up?

First of all, welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride! I was told by a dealer that they were "found" on a back lot in Germany. I guess they thought it was cheaper to store them there than in the states.
