Lets see if I can't put together a small list of engine oils that meet the Mercedes MB229.3 and 229.5 requirements:

Kendall 5W40 European Full Synthetic Formula

Mobil 1 0W40

Amsoil European Car Formula

Castrol Syntec 0W30 or 5W40
http://www.castrol.com/castrol/gener...tentId=6006933
http://www.castrol.com/liveassets/bp...syntec_usa.pdf

Quaker State Q Horsepower
http://www.qpower.com/doc/PDS_HorsePower.pdf

Pennzoil Platinum
http://www.pennzoil.com/products.html
http://www.epc.shell.com/Docs/GPCDOC...98029_1CE4.pdf

Shell Helix Ultra 0W40/5W40 or Ultra Extra
http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?...s_ga_0707.html
http://www.epc.shell.com/Docs/GPCDOC...ltra_5W-40.pdf

I'm sure there's plenty more out there, but that's all you're getting from me tonight.

BC.

Mobil 1 Rewards web site members (sign up here) were sent a notice offering a $10 rebate on 5 quarts of Mobil 1. Good from Spring to Summer 2009. Probably time to sign up and become eligible... Two per "family/household".
