Just wondering if it will be a 'snap' to just drop off the car...lease is up, need to get a new car I reckon.

Don't ask. It was a nightmare buying it from the lease. Where are you in Maryland? All I can tell you is Chrysler Financial are the worst business I have ever dealt with. Almost a month and a half after purchasing from lease and after making my first car payment I get a certified letter from Chrysler Financial telling me they are repossesing my car for failure to turn it in and make my lease payments. Apparently they lost the dealer's check not once but twice. Good luck.

Sorry to ignore your question, but where are you in MD. It always seems like I'm the only one from MD. on here. I'm on the Eastern Shore (Kent Island)

You might be one of the few from the eastern shore but there are quite a few members on here from Maryland.

Not a Crossfire but I turned in a '05 300C off lease about six months ago. Very easy with no issues.

Very simple process, give it a good cleaning inside and out before turning it in. Take it into a dealer that is authorized by Chrysler financial and tell them you want to ground a lease-ending vehicle. Have no more than five dents or scratches per panel and they can’t be larger than a credit card. All four tires must match and make sure no warning lights are illuminated. They will get your vin, LP and milage then give the car a walk around. They started it and then we went into the office for admin duties.

You should receive three documents but I don’t recall the names. Took about 30-45mins and I was on my way. No problems…..

Hmm, I think one of my tires is non-standard, got due to a flat, couldn't wait for the regular one...Is that going to be a problem, you think?

I live in PRince George's county, for those who asked.

I’m going to say yes because the leasing agreement specifically states all (4) tires must match and I believe should be Z rated. They don’t have to be OEM (PS or Cont’s) but they do have to be a matching set. I had factory PS fronts and Kumo’s on the rear prior to grounding, so I bought a used set of Cont’s (4) from forum member MUTT. Worked out because they were in need of replacing and MUTT saved me a lot of Benjamin’s. The dealer actually checked all four tires during the walk around and stated, “good matching set”.

See if you can find a used tire to match the other three…..

I'm in Salisbury, Maryland. There are very few crossfires in my area. The local dealer here never carried many in stock. I have never see another srt on the eastern shore.

I just checked...3 Contitourings, but one of the rears is an INvo, summer-rated, but correct sized and Z-rated.

Thoughts?
