Weird alarm activation?
So today I went back out to my car after going grocery shopping and when I hit unlock on the car it unlocked fine. I opened the trunk and the alarm started going off. I hit lock and unlock a couple of times hoping it would turn off, but it didn't. I got into the car and started it and the alarm kept going off. After turning it off and on 2 more times it finally stopped. Anyone else had that happen? Any ideas on how to not have that happen again?
The first time I ever heard my alarm was after I sat on the remote while in the house.
Heard an alarm outside and was thinking "some dope didn't turn his alarm off." It took awhile before it sunk in that it was my alarm!

The siren will go off if it experiences a loss of vehicle battery power. Fuse (already mentioned) or poor electrical connection (battery terminal corrosion, loose connector in circuit).
Manual sez to silence siren use "RF key transmitter or by unlocking the vehicle with the mechanical key".
Try the key next time.

Ya, that happened to me once. I cannot remember what I was doing, but I hit unlock twice... opened the hatch and off the alarm went. You have to hit the panic button to turn it off... But only did that once.
HOWEVER, my alarm goes off for no reason sometimes. I live in an apartment and my car is in view of my door... I have to keep stepping out to hit the panic button to turn it off. Sometimes it does it very common (few times a day), but has not done it in awhile...
