That is correct, I will take the hit on the shipping cost, more then likely I will just have the pallet of 15 - 20 drop shipped to the painter. Shipping cost will be whatever it cost for me to ship them to you from there

Waiting for the rest of the checks to clear, then I am going overnight a check to LA to the shop and the process will start first thing next week. Have a good thanksgiving everyone.

hey, I was quoted localy $450 to dismount the old skirts sand, blend, paint and remount the new skirts. How much you been quoted for this?

 

How hard is it to take off the old skirts and put the new ones on? I know we don't have a finished product yet but from your guesses would the install be something I, a newbie with some handy friends, would be able to accomplish or should I definitly get it professionally done?

 

We are probably looking at around $300- $350 depending on what needs to be done when we get these skirts. First they may not just be able to be skcuffed up and sprayed like they are saying. Second just in little talking with the painter he listed all the things he would want to do just to insure no chipping or problems on the customers end. Rudy had his skirts off the other day he had to flex them here and there to get them off. What this will mean the painter will have to put a flex additive in the paint, for that to stick and hold well he said he would like to prime each one. Third sikkens paint is very expensive but there is a reason it is one of the best, that is why we are willing to pay more. We are yet to have a complaint about paint that matches the exterior, EVERYTIME IT HAS BEEN 100% spot on. Lastly NO one should have to take these to the shop to have them installed, we will post a full how to. I think it can be done in less then a six pack lol

 

You better save the six pack till AFTER the work. I would get 10 thumbs if I drank a siz pak furst......oh crap......that was just thinking about it.
