Default Plastic popped off!

So, today was the first really cold day (less than 20 degrees in the morning)... and I was driving to the University when I noticed every time I shift... the plastic piece around the shift came off... lol. It is not a big deal, but just wondering if anyone else had that issue? I will just superglue it down, I think it might have been from the cold temperature in the car. I do not think I shift that hard...

mika33, not sure how the MT console goes together, but if I glued that trim down on my SRT auto, I would not be able to take the console apart. That silver trim is the first thing that has to come off to remove the console pieces.

Here is a picture just to clarify... all that is under it is the window switches... and the shifter itself.
I will check it out more tomorrow and see if maybe it just snaps in, I do not know... I was too busy driving to my late class at the time to really observe it. But now that you mentioned that point, MikeR... superglue would not be the best choice.

I don't have that issue, it doesn't pop off, but this piece of plastic give me some noise, I have to push it left or right to make it go quiet.

I've had the same problem with the plastic piece "shifting to the right" towards the passenger seat. It pops out of place so I have just nudged it back left and it clicks back into place.
