Default The Italian Job

Looks like Fiat has acquired a chunk of Chrysler. I wonder what styling, if any, Fiat can bring to future projects. Italy does style like no one else.

Clicky

Since Fiat owns Alfa and Alfa has plans for a return to the US, I'm excited to see them possibly even build some of their vehicles here utilizing existing Chrysler plants. Or we could see things like the Dodge Hornet being built on a Fiat or Alfa chassis. Perhaps just some Alfa style being introduced to next gen Dodge and Chrysler mid size sedans.

Heck, if the MINI and Smart can be successful here I think the 500 would do great here.

I much prefer this scenario to one involving either GM or Nissan.

The new Fiat 500 is one of the cutest, and friendliest looking, cars on the road. More so than the Mini, I think. There’s a Fiat dealer next to my parents, and there are always lots of them around. I like them - and there is an Idiot’s Version too. Clicky Which, obviously, is the one I’d want if I were buying one.

Great, just what we need, a car that gets "beat up" by a couple of bicycles.

Perhaps there will be an Alfa based next generation Crossfire in our future.
